Janine Taylor loved to draw people from her imagination as a child, although she did not understand how to draw movement.
As a result, the people that she drew were stiff, and had their arms by their sides.
She knew that she wasn't the best at drawing, but also recognized that she could draw better than most people.
Nevertheless, she enjoyed this art form, and found it very relaxing.
At the age of 12, an adult made a negative comment about her drawings.
She internalized this, and told herself that she would never draw again.
And, for 18 years, she didn't.
During this time, the urge to draw would come up every now and then, but she would push it back down, and tell herself, "You don't know how to draw, remember?"
At the age of 30, she felt inclined to take a drawing class at a junior college.
It was challenging, as her skill level was far below that of her classmates.
She wanted to give up after every class, but felt a push to keep going.
She slowly learned how to capture movement, and continued to draw from her imagination.
Shortly thereafter, she was praying with a friend, and the friend prayed about her being a painter, and how her paintings would have a positive effect on others.
Because she did not know how to paint, she was not inclined to receive these words.
Eventually, she went to an art supply store, and purchased canvas, paint brushes, and paint.
To her surprise, she painted her first painting that day.
She discovered an ability that she did not know that she had.
She has also found that painting is relaxing and therapeutic.
A few years ago, she learned that her drawings are greatly improved when she is looking at an actual photo of a person.
She is not able to draw an exact replica of the photo, but she is able to portray the movement, and features.
Drawing and painting are now her passions.
There are so many wonderful fashions that she would like to paint.
She is excited to style beautiful women of different ethnicities with a pencil, and paintbrush.
