Hand painted close up fashion.
Close up fashion puts more emphasis on the face, and clothes.
In this art form, the facial features, makeup and hairstyles become larger.
The eyelashes, eyeshadow, and lipstick are more prominent.
I pay close attention to faces and hair when I want to show beauty and style up close.
Although this image does not feature clothing, close-up fashion shows the clothes in greater detail.
It’s like zooming in with a camera.
Close-up fashion can show earrings, necklaces, and rings more clearly.
These are pieces that add sparkle and shine to outfits.
Drawing or painting close-up fashion allows beauty to be seen in the small things.
A great majority of this image focuses on the facial features.
It is much easier to accurately capture the facial features when I am drawing an image that is close up.
Admittedly, these are my favorite types of images to draw.
I used colored pencil for the hair, eyes, eyebrows, lashes, lipstick, and eyeshadow.
When coloring the hair, I followed the lines in the photo.
I then finished by shading in between the lines.
I used a bronze toned watercolor for the skin.
Creating this image was fairly simple, yet it turned out so beautifully.
There are more such images that I plan to draw and paint in the future.
I'm often amazed at my own work.
Sometimes, I sit and stare at an image for a while when I am done.
I remember how my work looked when I first started.
I never thought that I would be at the level where I am now.
It has taken many years to get to this point, and I can now see that every time I learned something new, it built upon the last thing I learned.
I do not count myself as having "arrived."
I am very much a student of the arts, as I continue to learn each time I embark on a new project.
If I knew that no one would ever view my work again, I would still pick up the pencil and paintbrush almost every day.
Why? Because I simply love it.
